PACKAGING DESIGN
Serving Calgary since 1956, the Calgary Co-op partners with local farmers and ranchers to sell fresh, farm-to-table foods. They have two in house brands: Cal & Gary’s, a premium brand with a Calgaryian kick, and Founders & Farmers, a low-cost everyday brand for families.
As a subcontractor for Brand Natural, I designed packaging for almost 100 Cal & Gary’s and Founders & Farmers products. As the primary designer, I was responsible for taking the packaging from the concept phase all the way through to execution and handoff for print.
Designing for a wide range of food packaging from bottles to boxes, stand-up pouches to wrappers, I gained valuable experience handling label compliance, brand continuity, SKU differentiation, callout hierarchies, and art-direction for photoshoots.
